Sam's Digital Instruments
Sam's Digital Instruments is a small, independent collection of everyday tools — a flip clock with a live world-clock row, a calculator with a scientific mode, and a unit, weight, temperature and currency converter — built to be fast, clear, and free of clutter.
The site does three things and doesn't try to do more. No dashboards, no settings pages, no onboarding flow — you open a tool, use it, and leave. That constraint is intentional: it's what keeps the page fast and keeps the tools easy to reach for.
Every tool here answers a genuinely common, everyday question — what time is it somewhere else, what's this discount worth, what does this measurement convert to. Nothing is included just to pad the site out; if a tool doesn't earn its place, it doesn't go on the page.
There's no account system and nothing you type into the calculator or converter is saved, logged, or sent anywhere — it lives in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. The site doesn't currently run any analytics or tracking scripts. If that changes in the future (for example, to run ads that keep the site free), it will be reflected honestly in the Privacy Policy.
The site is built with keyboard navigation, visible focus states, and screen-reader-friendly labelling in mind, and works the same way on a phone, a tablet, or a desktop monitor without a separate "mobile version."
No frameworks to download, no build step, minimal CSS and JavaScript. The goal is a page that loads quickly even on a slow connection, because a tool that's slow to open isn't actually saving anyone time.
